Twenty three/ twenty three

Two things have happened this week that are pretty awesome.

ONE. I completed the 'Developing your creative career with AR and animation' Course run by The Artery and funded by SIGN (Screen Industries Growth Network)

It was pretty damn good and I am very lucky to have been a part of the course. I learnt some invaluable business skills as well as how to animate my drawings. I spent a lot of time drawing out different sets of eyes and tongues for my cat illustration that you've probably seen a lot recently. It's amazing seeing my cat come to life and I want to do more... Maybe I could work on his tail next or maybe his body: I could make it look like he is breathing or his fur is moving when he moves. I think it's the little details that matter when it comes to successful animation. A big thank you to Virpi Kettu from Kettu Studios for teaching us about AR and animation. Virpi was also my supervisor last year when I was completing the internship with Craven Arts in Skipton.

Another thank you needs to go out to Karen Merrifield, founder of The Artery for all of her support since we met at the Great Place Lakes and Dales meeting a few months ago. You are a fountain of knowledge, advice and understanding and I hope we see each other again soon

The Second thing that has happened this week is that I was interviewed by an online news website caller HOLLR. The article dropped today here:

What a privilege to be 'Creator of the Week'. Go and check the article out if you want to find out a little bit more about me! It's been written by the very talented Chimwemwe Chirwa.

I think that's me for today. Two big things happening in two days is quite enough excitement for now.

Have a good morning, afternoon, evening or night

Ciao x
